Serving and honoring past, present, and future veterans

Broken Arrow has a long-standing tradition of honoring and supporting veterans.  The Broken Arrow Veterans Center is a 4,600-square-foot facility built in 2021 and is home to the local chapters of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the Blue Star Mothers.

The space is used regularly for meetings of local veteran groups and is also available for event rental to the public with two meeting space options and a catering kitchen.  The Veterans Center is run and managed by a board of directors, consisting of a representative from each veteran group.  The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs maintains an office in this facility to assist Veterans with their claims with the Veterans Administration.

Blue Star Mothers - Broken Arrow, Chapter 5

Our Mission is to Support: We are mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal guardians.  Our children are currently serving in the military, guard or reserves. We have children who are Veterans. We support each other and our children while promoting patriotism. Our organization focuses on our mission every single day.  We will never, ever, forsake our troops, our veterans or the families of our Fallen Heroes.

Mayor's Council of Veterans Affairs

The Mayor’s Council of Veterans Affairs was established to create a community of support, information and education for Broken Arrow’s veterans. All organizations that offer services for Veterans and any military members are invited to attend.

Meetings are held the 4th Thursdays of each month at 1:30pm at the Broken Arrow Veterans Center.
